BlueMagenta Films was co-founded by Marco Gualtieri and filmmaker Blake Williams. Initially started as a production company, we have also recently launched a home video label, producing limited edition Blu-rays of Blake’s films as well as works by some of today’s most singular filmmakers, many of whom explore alternative formats (e.g. 3D) that can be difficult to properly experience outside of film festivals.
Since 2018, Blake has been curating programmes of experimental films that explore depth in myriad ways (some stereoscopically, some not), and we wanted to extend this project to the home video market, where these works can reach an even greater audience.
We do not make a living by producing or selling blu-rays of niche films in an increasingly niche format, so we may not be as quick or slick as full-time vendors. While we’ve taken great care to create our products according to today’s highest professional standards, we ask that you please excuse the no-frills packaging, minimal customer service, and lack of marketing. This approach allows us to offer these beautiful and innovative films at the best prices we can.
Shipping
Orders placed in Canada will ship to you from within Canada. For everyone else, our products are shipped from the United States. After we ship your order, we will provide a tracking number.
Tariffs and other global factors have resulted in the rise of shipping costs, which will vary by country. We aim to keep our markups as low as possible, and are continually updating our postage prices to reflect the costs imposed by Canada Post and the USPS.
