BlueMagenta Films was co-founded by Marco Gualtieri and filmmaker Blake Williams. We are both a production company and a home video label, producing limited edition Blu-rays of Blake’s films as well as works by some of today’s most singular filmmakers, many of whom explore alternative formats (e.g. 3D) that can be difficult to properly experience outside of film festivals. Since 2018, Blake has been curating programmes of experimental films that explore depth in myriad ways (some stereoscopically, some not), and we wanted to extend this project to the home video market, where these works can reach an even greater audience.
We do not make a living by selling blu-rays of niche films in an increasingly niche format, so we may not be as quick or slick as full-time vendors. Please excuse the no-frills packaging, minimal customer service, and lack of marketing. We hope this approach will allow us to offer these beautiful and innovative films at an excellent price.
Shipping
Orders placed in the US will ship to you from within the United States. For everyone else, our products are shipped from Canada. After we ship your order, we will provide a tracking number.
We prefer to keep our markups low and to have transparent shipping costs. Tariffs and other global factors have resulted in the rise of shipping costs, and can vary a lot by country. We are continually updating our postage prices to reflect the costs imposed by Canada Post and the USPS.
